Abby K. Newton is an associate attorney with a practice concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate administration, and nonprofit law. She considers it a distinct privilege to work in these practice areas, believing that each one affords her the opportunity to act out a key tenet of the legal profession: the service of others.
With respect to estate planning, Ms. Newton works closely with clients to prepare comprehensive estate plans tailored to their unique needs, whether complex or straightforward. Moreover, she is well-versed in estate administration, and routinely navigates clients through court procedure and beyond. Her nonprofit practice predominantly involves fine-tuning organizations’ governance documents to ensure compliance with applicable law. She is likewise practiced in addressing other typical concerns that organizations face, including but not limited to, those related to real property or tax exemption.
Ms. Newton received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her juris doctorate from Belmont University College of Law. When not in the office, Ms. Newton is an active member of her church and local community. Though she is a Houstonian, born and raised, she is consistently surprised by all that the city has to offer, and enjoys exploring that further when she can do so.
